“Where’s the toilet paper?” Packing an essentials box
The simple box that saves your first night in your new home.
The first night after a move is always the same: you’re tired, everything is in boxes, and the one thing you need right now is buried under “misc.”.
That’s why the essentials box is magic. It’s a single box (or bin) that stays with you — not on the truck — so you can function immediately in your new place.
Essentials box rule
Pack it last, move it in your car, and open it first.
